Legislative Auditor finds more evidence of poor oversight of psychiatric research at the U

A new report from Legislative Auditor Jim Nobles has found more evidence of lax oversight for psychiatric research at the University of Minnesota.

When study participants suffer medical problems, the review found, researchers have too often failed to give timely and detailed information to the U's Institutional Review Board, which approves and monitors research.
