Their name is BioQuark; their CEO is named "Pastor;" and their plan is to raise the dead.

How? No, not prayers, commands or laying on of hands. Just the modern equivalent: stem cells. Of course. Plus electrical stimulation. And don't forget the lasers. No resurrection would be complete without lasers.

The subjects in the trial will be brain-dead, not Lazarus-in-the-tomb dead, and this is not the first time BioQuark has tried. Last time the plan was to do the trial in India, but that one got shut down before it started. This time they're going to try Latin America. "It’s not the absolute craziest thing I’ve ever heard," a surgeon at UT Health Science Center at Houston told Stat, "but I think the probability of that working is next to zero.”
