“Sexism and homophobia are alive and well at the University of Minnesota"

"Three former coaches at the University of Minnesota-Duluth filed a lawsuit Monday morning in U.S. District Court against the U of M Board of Regents alleging seven counts of discrimination."

The Star Tribune has the story.

Update: More from MPR News.

Update 2: And here is the complaint.

Update 3: Remember this news item from last week? After 15 years, the founding director of UMD's Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender Services, Angie Nichols, has resigned her position. She told the Duluth News Tribune: "I'm ashamed to work for UMD. I can't be that figurehead or that puppet. I refuse to be used in that way."
