Crime is our business

There's a market niche for everything. When the U was handing out headhunting contracts for a new athletic director in 2012, it decided to go with Parker Executive Search: an Atlanta company whose specialty is placing problematic men in university athletic departments. Like serial drunk driver Billy Gillespie at Kentucky. And the disgraced Kelvin Sampson at Indiana.  And the University of Minnesota - Duluth Athletic director Josh Berlo, who led his university into a Title IX suit by firing the spectacularly successful coach of the women's hockey team.

The U paid Parker $125,800. You can read about it here.

UPDATE: Another problematic search by Parker, this one at Rutgers.
