A partial fix for the failed Sunshine Act website

A consensus seems to be emerging that the Physician Payments Sunshine Act website is a flop.  "If the federal government's new Open Payments website were a consumer product, it would be returned to the manufacturer for a full refund," writes Charles Ornstein of Pro Publica.  Ed Silverman of Pharmalot is equally dismissive.  The website is cumbersome, incomplete, hard to navigate, and overall, pretty useless for patients who want to find out if their doctor is on a pharma payroll.

But don't despair.  Time has put together a much easier search tool. The information is still far from complete, but the Time search tool does allow you to look up a doctor by name.  Check it out.
