On October 20 I filed yet another open records request to the University of Minnesota, asking for the minutes of several IRB meetings. Three weeks later, I still have not gotten a reply. Nor have I gotten an estimate of how long I can expect to wait, or even an acknowledgment of my most recent communications.
Of course, I have learned that it is never easy to pry documents out of the University of Minnesota, even if the university is legally obligated to provide them. But the minutes of an IRB meeting should not be hard to locate (unless, of course, they have been destroyed or lost.) Why am I being stonewalled this time? If the university ever responds, perhaps we'll find out.
