Stonewalled again?

It has been 16 days since I filed a Data Practices Act request for documents relating to a "gift" from pharma to Stephen Olson, the CAFE study investigator.  (See this post.)  Despite repeated emails, I can't get a reply.  Am I being stonewalled again?

  1. Not sure if this is the right place for this, but wanted to let someone know that my son, who works with the game company that just released Bioshock Infinite to great fanfare, has engaged his fellow developers in an outreach program to get signatures for this petition--sort of a 'gamers for Dan' thing. He and another developer have about 20,000 followers between them and hopefully they can rapidly bring up the numbers.

Also, I posted this to my Facebook page which is followed by a number of people in the rare diseases advocacy community: http://mickeysmusings.wordpress.com/2013/03/26/anatomy-of-a-broken-system-u-of-mn-and-the-dan-markingson-story/. I don't have an enormous following, but this is a group very sensitive to protecting patients for obvious reasons, so they are motivated!

Really hope this can help the family in some small way! Thanks for your efforts to let the public know about this tragedy and the U of MN's role in it.

  2. Michele -- Thanks very much for this. This is great news and much appreciated. Would you mind sending me an email at my gmail address? It is ellio023 at gmail. And could you pass that along to your son as well?

    Thanks again
